SERVICE OVERVIEW

Today, most cars are equipped with an onboard computer system that is responsible for controlling things like the fuel injectors, spark plugs, the steering system and more.

If something is wrong with your engine, your “check engine light” may tell you. Your car’s computer is telling you something is wrong with your car’s systems. When you see this the best thing is to bring in your car to National Motorworks so we can have a look at what is going on. If we find a problem we will review what needs to be done before we do anything else. We will go over how much, and how long it may take to fix your vehicle so you know exactly what to expect.

So next time your check engine light goes off, don’t ignore it. Bring in your car for an inspection at National Motorworks.

Our professionals know how to handle a wide range of car services. Whether you drive a passenger car or medium sized truck or SUV, our mechanics strive to ensure that your vehicle will be performing at its best.

POPULAR QUESTIONS

  • Should I consider using synthetic motor oil?

The way synthetic runs in your car is worlds apart from conventional oil. Used motor oil shows a lot thicker and sludgy in conventional oil vs. synthetic oil, given the same amount of wear. Synthetic oil is by far better for performance. It protects the engine due to lower levels of friction. Additives help clean the engine of deposits. And, fewer impurities mean it burns cleaner, thickens far more slowly, and has fewer deposits to start. According to industry tests, synthetic oil engines perform 47% better than engines using conventional motor oil.

  • What parts should be replaced at what intervals?

Be sure to check your owners manual for a list of services to be performed on your vehicle at their respective interval. Typically around 120,000 miles some services include: spark plugs, decoupler pulleys, O2 sensors, A/C, belt tensioner, coolant, alignment, transmission fluid, filters, shocks & struts, brake fluid, and combustion chamber.
